A Place of Honest, Quiet Learning
Chokdee Jai opened its doors in 2018, led by a small group of financial professionals who had grown weary of watching adults in their 40s, 50s, and 60s make important decisions without adequate preparation. Not because they lacked intelligence — but because the right information had never been made available to them in a form they could use.
We are based in Si Phum, in the heart of old Chiang Mai. Our setting is deliberate: a calm, walkable neighborhood where people can arrive without feeling hurried. Sessions take place in small rooms around a table — not lecture halls — because we believe financial education should feel like a thoughtful conversation, not a performance.
Our programs cover three areas: household bill management, condominium ownership decisions, and cross-border financial coordination for expatriates and Thai nationals with overseas ties. Each program is structured, but never rigid — because the questions people bring with them are always personal.

With 18 years in Thai financial services, Pattaraporn leads curriculum development and ensures every program reflects the realities of the Thai financial landscape.

Wanchai spent over a decade in condominium valuation and property management before joining Chokdee Jai. He facilitates the property investment awareness program.

Every session and every piece of material is measured against the same standard: does it genuinely help the person in front of us?
Professionally Qualified Facilitators
All program facilitators hold relevant professional qualifications in finance, taxation, or property — and commit to ongoing education to keep knowledge current.
Regular Curriculum Review
Program content is reviewed at least twice a year to reflect changes in Thai tax law, property regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
Data Privacy Commitment
Participant information is handled with full respect for the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). We collect only what is necessary and retain nothing beyond its purpose.
Post-Session Feedback
Every participant is invited to share honest feedback after each session. That feedback directly shapes how future programs are structured and presented.
No Product Promotion
We maintain a strict policy: no financial product recommendations, no referral arrangements, and no commissions. Our only interest is in educating participants well.

Our Approach
Expertise Shaped by Chiang Mai's Community
Chokdee Jai works within a context that many generic financial courses overlook: the specific economic realities of adults living in northern Thailand. Chiang Mai attracts a distinctive mix of long-term expatriates, returning Thai nationals, retirees, and professionals managing assets across Southeast Asia. The financial questions these individuals face — around property ownership, pension planning, cross-border tax obligations — are real and consequential.
Our approach draws on direct experience with these situations. The professionals at Chokdee Jai have worked within Thai banking, property valuation, tax advisory, and international financial management. This gives our programs a grounded quality that classroom-only education often lacks. We do not teach theory for its own sake — we teach the things participants are likely to encounter in their financial lives in Thailand.
Adults aged 40 and above bring their own considerable experience to the learning environment. We respect that. Our sessions are structured as informed conversations, not lectures. Questions are welcomed throughout — and often the most valuable learning happens when a participant raises a situation from their own life that the group works through together.
Chokdee Jai remains an independent educational centre. We are not affiliated with any bank, property developer, investment firm, or financial product provider. That independence allows us to discuss topics with candour — without the distortions that commercial relationships can introduce.
